Red is energizing. It stimulates emotions and motivates us to take action. It is a pioneering spirit and leadership quality. It also signifies a passion that music evokes in every one of us, packed with emotions ranging from passionate, intense love, to anger and violence. Hong Kong cellist Clara Tsang initiated the "Forever Red Project" in September 2012. For each performance under this project, there are stories, special moments, and contemplative thoughts the artists would like to share as a gift to the audience through the media of music. Through the collaboration of special artists and people under the marriage of different art forms, we look forward to creating a platform for the public to engage in this dynamic sharing of thoughts and feelings. FRP started with two solo recitals by Ms Tsang in 2012. In the following years, FRP presented various annual performances, which were not limited to Cello music. Experimental jamming between jazz and classical music, dance performance and martial art Wing Chun presentation on stage with cello, with provoking themes, were some of the examples which received many positive responses. Also, apart from working with local and international musicians, FRP performances have reached out to non-local and international audience,s such as from Shanghai, Taiwan and the USA, to the world of music through the generous support of NGOs and overseas organisations.

The connection to Switzerland
The connection to Switzerland began through the friendship between cellist Clara Tsang Fung and the organizer from Grüningen. From this special relationship, the idea to create the concert series was born – a series that brings people together through the power of music in both Hong Kong and Switzerland. Where this journey will lead? Only time will tell.
